5th Annual Desert Garden Tour in Palm Springs
View and Experience Desert Landscaped Residential Gardens
Registration 12:45 to 3:30 p.m. at the Corridor Shops, 515 N. Palm Canyon (at Alejo) in Palm Springs
Event is free and open to all; donations gladly accepted
The Desert Horticultural Society of the Coachella Valley is sponsoring their 5th Annual Desert Garden Tour. Maps are available for the self-guided garden tour at Registration.
Come rain or shine and bring your camera. Feast at the many restaurants in the Corridor Shops area. Carpool at the parking lot behind the Corridor Shops on Alejo. This is a great family event. It’s also an opportunity to view residential gardens displaying native desert plants and a variety of drought tolerant species.
The tour includes a variety of home gardens from do-it-yourself to professionally designed, from wild and native to manicured and refined. You’ll get lots of ideas for your garden. Several of the gardens are handicapped accessible.
Bike The Garden Tour
Consider renting a bike from Bike Palm Springs, and ride to each home on the 5th Annual Desert Garden Tour. You’ll not only help the environment but you’ll help Desert Horticultural Society.
Rent a bike at the standard rate of $15 for a half day or $25 for a full day (standard bike) or $18 for a half day or $30 for a full day (premium bike), and Bike Palm Springs will donate 20% of all proceeds to the Desert Horticultural Society. Helmets and locks are provided with each rental. Reservations strongly suggested.
